How to set up iCloud sync

Keep your reminders private and in step across your Apple devices — no separate login.

Everyday Cue syncs through your iCloud, not our servers. There's no account to create and nothing for us to see.

Set it up

There's no separate login — sync uses your Apple ID.

  1. In iOS Settings, sign into iCloud.
  2. Make sure iCloud Drive is enabled.

That's all. Everyday Cue detects your iCloud status and begins syncing automatically.

Across your devices

Sign into the same Apple ID on each iPhone and iPad with Everyday Cue installed, and your reminders, groups, schedules, notes, and documents stay in step. The first sync on a new device can take a few minutes depending on how much you have.

Using the app without iCloud

You don't have to use iCloud at all. Everyday Cue works fully offline, storing everything on your device. Sign into iCloud later and it starts syncing on its own — nothing is lost.

Your data stays yours

There are no Everyday Cue servers. Your data lives on your device and, if you choose, in your private iCloud container — encrypted in transit and at rest, readable only by you. We can't access it.

If sync seems stuck

Check that you're signed into iCloud, iCloud Drive is on, the device has a network connection, and you're not in Low Power Mode (which throttles background sync). Give a fresh install a few minutes, then restart the app if needed.

Tip: because sync is a copy in your iCloud, your data survives deleting and reinstalling the app on the same device, and rides along to your other Apple devices.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly syncs between devices?

Everything: reminder names, schedules (recurring intervals, one-time events, alert offsets), notes, account numbers, groups and their sort order, and document attachments (PDF, JPEG, PNG, HEIC). The only thing that doesn't sync is per-device diagnostic data — that stays local.

Does it work on Mac?

Everyday Cue is built for iPhone and iPad (iOS 18+); a dedicated Mac app isn't available yet. Everything syncs across your iPhone and iPad when they're signed into the same Apple ID, and changes on one device propagate to the others automatically.

What happens if my iCloud storage is full?

iCloud will stop accepting new sync changes until you free up space. Everyday Cue continues working on the local device — nothing is lost. Once you free space, sync resumes and catches up automatically. You'll see a sync error state in Settings if iCloud is rejecting writes.

What happens if I edit the same reminder on two devices at the same time?

Everyday Cue uses a conflict resolution strategy based on logical clocks (not wall-clock time). The device that saved last wins. If a conflict is detected when you save, Everyday Cue shows you a choice: keep your version or reload the version from the other device. You decide; no data is silently discarded.
