Everyday Cue

Privacy Policy

Effective: June 17, 2026 · Last updated: June 17, 2026

Hartage Projects LLC ("we," "us," "our") makes Everyday Cue (the "App"). This policy explains what the App does — and does not do — with your information. The short version: your data stays on your device and in your personal Apple iCloud account, which we cannot access. We operate no servers and receive none of your content.

1. Information the App handles

  • Content you create — reminders, groups, notes, account numbers, schedules, and any documents or photos you attach. Stored on your device and, if you turn on iCloud, in your private iCloud container.
  • Camera & photos — only the specific image you capture or select is attached to a reminder. The App does not browse, upload, or retain the rest of your photo library.
  • Calendar (Calendar Mirror) — if you enable this optional feature, the App writes your reminders as events into a dedicated calendar on your device, so the system Calendar can still alert you during long stretches when the App isn't opened. These events stay on your device and your own iCloud calendar; you can disable the feature and remove them at any time.
  • A device sync identifier — a per-installation ID used only to merge changes across your own devices. It stays within your iCloud container and is never sent to us.
  • Preferences — notification time, alert offsets, time zone, and pause windows.
  • Optional diagnostics — only if you turn on "Help Us Improve," the App records anonymous feature-usage events (e.g., "opened search") locally in your device's storage. They are never transmitted to us or anyone. Off by default; you can revoke consent anytime.
  • Local crash reports — written only on your device, and shared only if you choose to send one via Settings → Report Issue.

2. What we do NOT collect

We run no servers and use no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. We do not collect your name, email (unless you email us), location, contacts, health, financial, or biometric data, and we do not collect advertising identifiers or track you across apps or websites. The App's Privacy Manifest declares no tracking.

3. Apple services

The App relies on Apple services governed by Apple's privacy policy: iCloud / CloudKit (your data is stored in your private database, which only you can access — we cannot), local notifications, and the App Store.

4. How information is used

Because we do not receive your information, we do not use it. The App uses the data on your device to display your reminders, schedule local alerts, sync across your devices via your iCloud account, and search your content.

5. Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information, and we do not use it to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.

6. Retention & deletion

Your data remains until you remove it. You can delete individual items in the App, use Settings → Data → Delete All Data, or uninstall the App (which removes its local data). Manage iCloud-stored data in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud. To withdraw consent for optional diagnostics, turn off "Help Us Improve" in Settings.

7. Security

Local data is protected with iOS file protection (encrypted while the device is locked); sensitive identifiers are stored in the iOS Keychain; iCloud data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple. No method is perfectly secure — please protect your device passcode and Apple ID.

8. Required-reason APIs

In line with Apple's Privacy Manifest requirements, the App declares: UserDefaults (to store your preferences and data shared with the App's widget) and disk-space checks (to confirm space before saving a document). Full declarations ship in the App's PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy.

9. Children

The App is rated 4+ and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. A parent or guardian who believes information was inadvertently collected may contact us at support@everydaycue.app.

10. Your rights

Because your data is on your device, you have direct control: access it in the App, correct it with the edit tools, export it (Settings → Data → Export Data), delete it individually or in bulk, and withdraw consent for optional diagnostics at any time.

11. EEA & UK users (applies only where the App is offered in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom)

Where this section applies, Hartage Projects LLC is the data controller. Our legal bases are your consent (optional diagnostics) and our legitimate interest / performance of the user agreement in providing the App's on-device functionality. Your content is processed on your device and in your own iCloud account; we do not receive it. In addition to the rights in Section 10, you have the rights to object, to restrict processing, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. International data handling occurs within your Apple iCloud account under Apple's terms. Our EU/UK representative and contact details will be published here before the App is made available in these regions.

12. Changes

We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, surface a notice in the App.
